Where Small Voices Can Be Heard...
What We Do: Established in 1998, the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) provides help for children who are victims of serious physical and sexual abuse. Working with law enforcement and other agencies, the CAC offers a safe, child-friendly environment for forensic interviews and medical evaluations of the child victim, and on-going support for the child and non-offending family. We'll post pictures and other updates there. For more information on our capital campaign, click here. For more updates, join us on Facebook! HELP US FURNISH THE NEW CENTER! In an effort to furnish our new facility, we've created several gift registries and wish lists. Supporters can visit the registries either online or in the store to purchase specific items needed. Currently, we have gift registries created at Walmart, Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Menards, and Toys 'R' Us. To access our registries, use CAC as the first name and Lincoln as the last name. Click here to view our wish list of items needed. Individuals can either donate cash or gift cards, or purchase the items directly from the registry. We're also looking for individuals and groups to host "housewarming" parties for us. The idea is to invite family and friends, or co-workers, and each person who attends will bring an item purchased from the registry. These items will then be available for use when the new facility opens in the fall. For more information on purchasing items from the menu or hosting a housewarming party, contact Lynn at lynn@smvoices.org or 476-3200. |
